With the introduction of the «DTV Visa» (Destination Thailand Visa) Since August 2024, completely new perspectives have also opened up for young people! DTV Visa are valid for 5 years and allow multiple entries. Each entry permits a stay of 180 days in the Kingdom. Unlike many of the nearly 50 types of visas, there is no minimum age requirement for issuance, such as the retirement visa.
There are basically two categories: On the one hand, the digital nomad DTV for people who can prove to their employers with appropriate employment contracts that they are allowed to work from anywhere in the world and can therefore work from abroad as digital nomads.
On the other hand, one is DTV Visa for so-called "Thai soft power related activities." The applicant must then provide evidence that he or she is participating in a training program or course in Thailand, such as a Thai cooking class. Thai language school or a course at a Muay Thai martial arts school.
