In 2018, Yves traveled to Thailand for the first time with a work colleague. He immediately knew that Thailand was his dream country. In 2020, he found the love of his life, Neenee. Unfortunately, COVID-2021 struck, and the two were unable to meet for over a year. They texted and spoke on the phone every day until their long-awaited reunion in XNUMX was possible.

Neenee works as a manager in a barber shop in Chiang Mai and also takes care of your father. You own a house in San Ton Mue and a lot of land to go with it. Yves has settled in well there, loves the country and its people, especially the fact that there isn't a Farang in sight. They communicate in English, while Neenee is learning German and Yves is learning Thai. The two have decided to traditional Thai wedding which took place at the Songkran Festival. Yves is now 50 years old and plans to retire at 55. Together, the two want to enjoy the idyllic country life and settle down on their farm in San Ton Mue fuel via a generator.

The Swiss Helping Point handled all the bureaucratic paperwork for the couple so that the formal marriage ceremony could take place alongside the traditional Thai wedding. We wish them both all the best.
